Finally, we have some confirmed release dates! Set your clocks for January 15th, 2021, because that’s the date we will finally get to see what kind of weird and wacky shenanigans that Wanda and Vision will get up to.
Yes, Disney have finally revealed the release date for the much anticipated Disney+ series, WandaVision. WandaVision will be the first Marvel TV series to launch under the Disney+ streaming umbrella, directly tying in with the MCU.
Originally, WandaVision was to air after The Falcon & The Winter Soldier; however, the COVID-19 pandemic, which has wreaked havoc with the World, also wreaked havoc upon the MCU & Disney’s schedule. The Falcon & The Winter Soldier was shuffled back in the pecking order, with WandaVision promoted to the front of the queue.
WandaVision looks set to confuse the daylights out of us with it’s sitcom-esque approach to what is sure to be a complicated and fantastical storyline. I, for one, cannot wait.
Although we’re super pumped to have a firm release day, the realisation that 2020 will be a year bereft of Marvel goodness is one that’s just sunk in. Although, when the history books show a firm line through the year 2020, perhaps that won’t be such a bad thing.
WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany & Kathryn Hahn. Keep an eye out for it on the Disney+ streaming platform from January 15th, 2021.
