Those who count ‘Saving Private Ryan’ amongst one of their all-time favourite films will be overjoyed to see Tom Hanks latest WWII film, ‘GREYHOUND’. Inspired by real events from the ‘Battle for the Atlantic’, GREYHOUND focusses on a US Navy Commander, Ernest Krause (Hanks).

The film is also based on the 1952 novel, ‘The Good Shepherd’ by C. S. Forester.

The film, which takes place in 1942, will follow Krause as he takes on his first war-time command of a Destroyer, embarking on a mission to defend a merchant ship convoy under attack by submarines as they cross the Atlantic ocean.

Krause must not only battle the enemy but also his own demons and self-doubts, striving to be an effective leader of an important command.

Tom Hanks stars in GREYHOUND, scheduled for release in 2020.

Anyone familiar with the real-life events that transpired during this famous series of battles will know that this film will certainly be an edge of your seat thriller.

GREYHOUND was originally scheduled for release on June 12, 2020. Sony Pictures have since delayed the films release indefinitely due to CORVID-19. GREYHOUND is one of a huge number of films that have had to reschedule their release dates due to this pandemic. The films has had three rescheduled released dates during its lifespan.
