Nintendo have announced a new member to the Nintendo Switch family. Introducing the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model). You’ve probably guessed it already, but the new Switch features a 7″ OLED Screen, perfect for high-resolution gaming.
Adding to the list of improvements, the new Switch model will feature:
Wide, Adjustable Stand;
Dock with Wired LAN Port;
64GB of Internal Storage;
Fans have long been speculating that a Nintendo Switch Pro would be made available either this year or next. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear as if that will be the reality. This Switch, as of yet, has none of the performance upgrades that have been speculated for months.
Whilst this Switch (OLED Model) does offer some nice improvements on the standard Switch, it does come as a small letdown for those hoping for large scale upgrades.
Nevertheless, this certainly does look nice. For those with a Switch, I’m not sure I see a need for upgrading; however, for those looking to get into the Nintendo Switch market, this could be perfect.
The Switch (OLED Model) will be available for purchase on October 8th, 2021. The MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) is currently $349. But this may vary store to store, country to country.
